Judith "Jae" E. Whitelaw, Esquire, Of Counsel


Jae is a graduate of New England College and Franklin Pierce Law Center (now University of New Hampshire School of Law), and was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 1984.  She maintained a general practice for four years at Hall, Morse, Gallagher & Anderson before joining Nighswander, Martin & Mitchell, P.A. where she focused on land use law, being primarily responsible for the research and writing of a treatise published by that firm titled New Hampshire Land Use Law.  Jae then became Of Counsel at the Concord firm of Shaheen & Gordon in support of their Litigation Practice Group. Joining our firm in August 2000, Jae is responsible for the firm’s utility tax abatement practice. She has lectured on various topics in the New Hampshire Municipal Association’s Law Lecture Series. 

Jae serves as the Moderator in Concord’s Ward 10, where she and her husband TJ have lived for almost forty years. Their children continue to live in the area. TJ and Jae attended New England College in Henniker, NH and were awarded the Lee Clement Alumni Volunteer Award in recognition of their many activities over the years in support of the college, to include Jae’s service on the Alumni Board of Directors. Jae was also on the Board of Directors of NH Dress for Success, and volunteered for many years in the Concord school system. She enjoys reading, gardening, walking, listening to music, and spending time with her dog, friends and family.
